Galateia Iatraki was born in Heraklion, Crete. She lived for some years in Thessaloniki where she studied and worked in Informatics and later continued her studies in the Netherlands, in Media Engineering. In 2010 in Amsterdam she made her first attempt to analog photography where she attended a seminar with photographer Marzia Cosenza.
Returning to Heraklion in 2013, she participated in photography seminars at Greek Photographic Society of Crete(EFEK) and in a video and editing team.
She has also attended photography, sequencing and editing seminars with Lambros Papanikolatos and Eleni Mouzakitis as well as with Karailias Giorgos and Prinos Giorgos. In 2019 she attended “The Archive Lab / A workshop” with Pavlos Fysakis in Rethymno, Crete.
