Alvin Ng (b. 1991) is a Singapore-based photographic artist and educator whose practice interweaves antiquity and modernity. Working primarily with photography, he employs meticulous hand-manipulation of prints alongside mythic and philosophical narratives to construct imaginative, non-linear stories that move fluidly across time. Straddling the realms of reality and fantasy, his works carry an intimate, dreamlike quality, inviting viewers to reflect on the shifting relationships between humankind, the natural world, and the passage of time.
His work has been recognised internationally, including selection for Foam Talent 2026 and Lensculture Critics' Choice Awards 2022, with presentations at institutions and festivals such as the Royal Geographical Society, London Photo Fair, and BJP OpenWalls Arles, and features in The New York Times, Die Zeit, and Harper’s Magazine, among others.
